Campaigning is exhausting, there is no doubt about that, but the people we've met
make it all worthwhile. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to talk to us
and has invited us to attend their meetings and programs. We've loved it!

Chambers County celebrated its 150th
anniversary on February 11, 2008, at the
Chambers County Courthouse. Those present
include members of the 14th Court of Appeals
(Justices Jeff Brown, Kem Frost, Bill Boyce and
Chief Justice Adele Hedges ) and 1st Court of
Appeals (Justice Laura Carter Higley), all
pictured top right, attorney Ed Lieck and his
wife, Chambers County Attorney Cheryl Lieck
(second top right), Guy Robert Jackson, Tommy
Willcox, Judge Carroll Wilborn (second top left)
and District Clerk Robert Scherer (third left.)
The county was named for Thomas Jefferson
Chambers (Tommy's ancestor) and his house is
shown below.
Candidates forum in Cleveland, Texas
February 11, 2008
Precinct 20 in Cleveland, Texas, invited the
candidates running for county and local office to
address citizens and answer questions on Monday
night, February 11, 2008. Reuben "Sugar Bear"
Johnson, Precinct 20 Chairman, organized the
forum. (top and second right pictures)
The beautiful lady in the bottom right picture with
Tommy is Cleveland City Council member Barbara
McIntyre.
